Hearing Matters… Hearing and Your Mind and Body
31st July 2014
Adult acquired hearing loss is common, long-term, increases with age with over 70% of people over 70 having some form of hearing loss that could benefit from treatment.
Adult hearing loss is both isolating and disabling. It is not surprising that the World Health Organization lists it as the second leading cause of ‘years lived with a disability’.
Recent research has demonstrated that resolving hearing loss positively impacts dementia, falls and reduces overall healthcare costs.
At Chime we realise that hearing care is not just about assessment and subsequent fitting of hearing aids, we make a long term commitment to our patients to help with resources and knowledge tailored to suit them as an individual.
