Join us at Exmouth Armed Forces Day this Saturday - for more information on our Veteran’s Hearing Fund
20th June 2017
Join us on Saturday 24th June at the Exmouth Armed Forces Day, where we will be attending and sharing all information on Chime’s Veteran Hearing Fund, between 9:00am and 4:00pm.
The Veterans Hearing Fund (VHF) provides support to veterans who acquired hearing loss during Service. It is open to those who have a well being need that cannot be met through statutory services, such as the NHS. The Veteran Hearing Fund helps to fund hearing aids, peripherals or therapies such as lip reading.
Our very own Samantha Humphries, Manager at The Chime Hearing Centre in Exeter, will be exhibiting and providing attendees with information on how Chime can provide support for Veterans with their hearing. Leaflets will also be available for attendees to take home, which will provide all the information necessary on the fund.
The Armed Forces Day will host a wreath laying ceremony and parade of veterans from the Navy, Royal Marines, Army and Royal Air Force cadets, at the war memorial in Strand Gardens. Static displays of military vehicles and equipment will also be there, with arena displays by the Royal Marine Band and Royal Marine Combat display team. The local school orchestra and choir will also be performing. Information will be available at stands from Navy, Royal Marines, Army, Royal Air Force, British Legion, Blesma and local community organisations. eg. RNLI, Red Cross.
If unfortunately you cannot attend the Armed Forces Day to speak to us, but are interested in finding out more regarding Chime’s Veteran Hearing Fund, then please click here for more information. A Chime representative will then talk to you about the Veteran Hearing Funds Stage One eligibility form so an Audiology exam can be arranged, ready for Stage Two of the completion form.
We look forward to hearing from you.
